1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 ½ T. melted butter
1 t. salt
1 egg
Mix all ingredients together so there are no bumps (melt butter in frying pan to grease it.) Batter should be thin. Pour a circle about 4” in diameter in a hot pan and rotate pan so that I spreads the pancake thin (about 10” - 12” in diameter.) Turn when brown. Eat with syrup, jam or ice cream
My dad went to Sweden on his mission. He used to make these for us growing up. Whenever I wanted to make this I would find an old cookbook my dad had from nursing school called the "Student Nurse's Cookbook" that some nursing students put together with recipes from all of the students. This recipe was the one contribution from my dad to the book. Underneath the recipe he put this little quote, "Don't expect a Million Dollar answer from a 10 cent prayer."
