Missy's Stew 'n' Mash
1/2 lb (or more if needed) ground beef
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 large onion
2-3 large carrots
1 1/2 cups water
flour
mashed potatoes
Fry 1/2lb (or more if needed) of grounds beef till brown,
add 1 beef stock cube. Add ½ Large or 1 small chopped
onion, 2-3 large sliced carrots, and about 1&1/2 cups of
water. Cook till Carrots and onions are tender.
At same time, In separate pan peel and chop 4-5 large
potatoes, boil and mash them.
Thicken the meat mixture with gravy granules or flour
adding more water if needed, enough to make desired
amount of gravy (with the vegs).
Serve potatoes and meat mixture at the side of or on top
of each other.
This is what Emma said about this meal: "Mom, I double love these potatoes! I super double love this meat! I double love this dinner! Can we have this dinner ever night for a month?" Everyone loved it (very rare feat in our house) so I think it's a keeper!
