1 cup sugar
1 egg
2-3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 to 2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
In a medium bowl, beat together margarine, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder and salt, beating until blended. Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Wrap and refrigerate until firm, 1 hour or longer. Prior to baking, allow dough to stand at room temperature until soft enough to roll easily. Cut into desired shapes and bake 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets for 7 to 10 minutes at 375. Cool and decorate.
We used this for fruit pizza at a Relief Society Meeting. They are really good.
