Melt over medium heat:
1 c. butter
1 ½ c. corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 c. sugar
Stir constantly while it constantly boils. After it reaches 231 degrees F or looks foamy yellow, boil for 1 full minute. Pour into already buttered pan. Cool. Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
My friend Tierra's mom, Patti Miner, would give these out every year for Christmas. I looked forward to this treat every year. I was so happy to find this recipe in my mom's ward cookbook.
