Lisa Polo's Old World Raspberry Bars


Crumb Mixture
2 1/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg

Filling
10 oz. jar of raspberry preserves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put crumb mix in bowl. Beat at low speed 2-3 minutes until crumbly.  Reserve 1 1/2 cup dough mixture; set aside.  Press remaining mix into 8" square (greased) baking pan.  Spread jelly to within 1/2" of edge.  Crumble rest of mixture on top.  Bake 40-50 minutes, or until lightly browned.
